Film Review
As a wise man once said, "give a man a fish and feed him for a night, but teach a man how to fish and feed him for a lifetime." This applies almost directly to this project (the only difference is from a raw material, fish, to building material, bricks). If you think about it this generous motion will not only help the people to build adequate shelter nut this will help them for life as this will enable them to broaden their horizons by building market centres and such things. All we can do now though is hope that this oppurtunity that has been provided by the people of the Simune rural development project will not go to waste, we have faith that these gratefull people will make a dilligent effort to continue with the brick making. This development of this town will benefit greatly from this new learned skill by the people as it will great job oppurtunities so therefore people willbe able to earn a steadfast income so therefore will be able to improve their standard of living. Another plus side to this initiative is that it is environmentally friendly as it uses mud instead of cement so there will be minimum air pollution. It is also materials that the local people can get very quick acces to. What these anyway people have done is show to us how important rural development is, and why. These people living in the rural areas will not have to suffer the same fate as what their ancestors have. These people have taken the lead to improving rural areas and I am very inspired by what they have done and it has made me feel energised and obliged to do more for my community.
